I was commissioned to photograph fishermen in Devon and Ireland during the winter as part of an exciting new restaurant in Mayfair. The Black Roe is brainchild of restaurateur Kurt Zdesar and all its food comes from sustainable sources. My 1.5m high black and white prints seek to celebrate these heroic guardians of the sea.
