Ma Rainey's Black Bottom

The incredible talent that is Sharon D Clarke entertained all the crew with her wonderful singing on this rather fun shoot for the National Theatre.  Sharon is to play Ma Rainey, Mother of the Blues in a new production of August Wilson’s play which kicks off in late January 2016. With direction by  Dominic Cooke and design by  Ultz this is set to be a wonderful show. For more info click here.

The force is strong!

My portrait of my pal and unsurpassed master of kirigami Marc Hagan- Guirey. He has just opened his latest show. In Cut Scene Marc has fashioned 12 models inspired by Star wars each cut from a single sheet of A4 paper. They are a wonder to behold.  The exhibition runs from August 8th-16th at 5th Base Gallery.

Sunday Shoots return

I stopped the  Sunday Shoots project for a break in 2014. I actually had a few weekends off. It could never last of course so in late November I dusted off the Hasselblad and faced the public once more. It's good to be back.
